To address these challenges without requiring expensive network upgrades, Clarence Greenergy delivered a tailored behind‑the‑meter solution featuring a 144 kW rooftop solar installation and 80 kWh of battery storage shared across the two tenants. This system immediately lowered daytime energy consumption from the grid, enabling the tenants at Bennetts Green to achieve a 45% reduction in daytime electricity costs. The project was delivered with zero capital outlay for both tenants and the shopping centre owner, making the transition to renewable energy completely cost‑neutral. By easing supply limitations and generating clean onsite power, the tenants now benefit from greater energy independence, a strong hedge against future price increases, and a meaningful reduction in their carbon footprint.
