Biggera Waters is a commercial site supporting Total Fitness, a high energy use tenant operating with consistent daytime electricity demand and exposure to rising energy costs.
To improve energy affordability and resilience without requiring capital investment, Clarence Greenergy delivered a tailored behind the meter renewable energy solution featuring a 99.6 kW rooftop solar system, purpose built to service the tenant. The system was designed to closely align with Total Fitness’s operating profile and is expected to cover approximately 80% of electricity consumption. By reducing reliance on grid supplied electricity, the installation delivers immediate and ongoing cost savings while improving long term energy security. Importantly, the project was delivered with zero capital outlay for both the landlord and tenant, ensuring a seamless and cost neutral transition to onsite renewable energy. As a result, the tenant now benefits from a strong hedge against future energy price increases and a meaningful reduction in its carbon footprint. The project was completed on time and within budget, supporting improved operational resilience and more sustainable business operations.
